Meditation
Imagine you are looking through a telescope. Each of the six circles with the religious symbols opens to you an outlook on the world. First there is an atheist exile from Vietnam, then a hungry Hindi boy lying on the pavement of an Indian city street, then a thirsty Buddhist in the Gobi desert, then - nursed in a Jewish hospital - a girl wounded by a terrorist's bombshell splinters, now a naked Christian child in a refugee camp, and an Islamic prisoner detained and tortured by occupation forces in Iraq. Maybe you will see other people giving them food and drink, shelter and nursing. But they will not have halos round their heads. Encompassed with halos are the hungry, the thirsty, the naked, the stranger, the sick, the imprisoned. Not only Christians serve in them the Son of God.
